The firmware upgrade to Android 2.2 is already available, so do ask your mobile retailer for a Froyo pre-installed mobile. Other wise you will need to do it over the air. It comes with 5 Mega Pixel Camera with Led Flash, however posses a weaker CPU of 528 MHz only.
You can also consider buying HTC Wildfire S if you increase your budget a bit. It comes with Android 2.3 onboard and 600 MHz processor

Have you ever seen both the phones live… Galaxy551 screen is too slim in terms of width, which is optimal when you are viewing a webpage. But in other terms, I don’t think their screen differs much… Better go to nearest showroom and then compare.

Wat do u think about htc wildfire s…coz i have read dat it has a less internal memory due and wid addition of some data itself it starts prompting ‘low memory’, the 2nd concern being of the display …as dis cell has a 256k display where as htc wildfire has a display of 16m…..wat amount of difference wud it make?? The battery also needs to be charged very often.Should i go for wildfire s or any oder htc phone. My budget is 15K. I wud like to go for large screen phones…..

Incase you can increase your budget to 13k, you should go for Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini ST15i… HD camera, 1Ghz processor and loads of other goodies… the only drawback could be the screen which is just 3-inch
Another good option in similar budget is Spice mi-310
