After the launch of 3G in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Orissa and Chandigarh, Reliance Telecom has launched 3G services in Bihar and Jharkand telecom circle. Now 3G services available in Bihar’s Patna, Jharkhand’s Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Jharia and Chas. The company also announced to launch 3G services by the end of March in Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Chhapra, Ara, Katihar, Begusarai, Biharsharif and Hazipur. Rcom is the first private operator to launch 3G services in Jharkhand. Through this services people can enjoy high speed internet, live TV, video calling, speed downloading etc.

According to Mr.Vivek Garg, the regional head of the Reliance Communications, during the launch, said that the 3G service will be immediately available in Patna but will be available in Hajipur, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Chhapra, Muzaffarpur, Ara, Biharsharif, Katihar, and Begusarai by the end of this month. The service, however, would be able only to GSM platform and not on wireless technology based on CDMA system, he said. With speed up to 28 mbps, 3G customers would be able to take advantage of services like video-calling, video streaming, and mobile TV, Garg said.

The 3G Data services plan for Prepaid and Postpaid users starts from just Rs. 97. There are many other 3G data packs pricing Rs.198, Rs.397, Rs.649, Rs.749, Rs.898, Rs.1199, Rs.1499, Rs.1799 and Rs.2100.
